Three of the twelve species of Wobbegongs. Oh yeaaaaaah!
Wobbegongs are carpet sharks in the family Orectolobidae. Their name means “shaggy beard” in some Australian Aboriginal dialect. I think. They hang out around Australia, though.
Strange as they are, they’re actually really beautiful. Even though I gave up drawing them like this, they are naturally bilaterally symmetrical. Also there’s this, which is the gosh darn most adorable thing I’ve ever seen.
I don’t know what happened with that one on the bottom right. He’s all like, “You shall not pass!”
Day 5 of Shark Study Week.
*EDIT* - So I thought something was off with the one demonstrating the teeth. It looks like I drew the whiskers on the upper lip as opposed to the bottom lip, where they would be. Don’t know why I drew it like that. I don’t want you guys to go around thinking wobbegongs have weird little mustaches as opposed to weird little beards. Hopefully I’ll remember to fix it sometime. Sorry.
