What the hell is a “Brain-Rain”?
Greetings. Welcome to the “About” section.
My name is Emily, the lovable killjoy and self-proclaimed vocabulary wizard that owns this blog. I am also notoriously long-winded in speaking, hence the giant wall of text to follow:
I am very passionate about science, especially theoretical physics. But you can expect to quite a lot of chemistry and astronomy mixed in, with a dash of medical science and general neuroscience thrown in for good measure.
Bear in mind that this is a personal blog, and I do post about what I’m up to. Mostly complaining about schoolwork and nursing stomach aches from the various chronic illnesses that have been bestowed upon me.
I post science-y art frequently. But I do post my own artwork from time to time. Usually reptiles and sharks with an occasional self-portrait. So expect that.
I play the upright bass, but not very well.
I can be a bit distant at times, but I am a nice person, so I encourage you to talk to me. I love your feedback and questions. Yes, you. You reading this. My ask box is right there. Drop me a line and say hey.
I post at least three times a day, unless Tumblr messes up my queue again. -shakes fist-
FAQ
Q: How old are you? Where do you go to school? What is your full name?
These are the only questions I will not answer in the interest of personal security. Sorry. All I will say for now is that I’m a student from CT who studies in New England.
Q: Why do you like science so much? Why do you like art so much?
Science is what makes the universe work. Art is what makes it worth living in.
Q: Are you single?
Undoubtedly so.
Q: I only followed you for that shark comic.
Fair enough.
